In Textiles, TIRUPUR & ERODE, A VIBRANT TEXTILE REGION occupies a very special place. It enjoys a reputable status for its business acumen, skills, product lines, quality and integrity. The region which is known for its cotton based products from yarn to yarn dyed fabrics and fashion apparel, is home to one of the largest textile value chains in the world, producing goods worth more than USD 12 – USD 15 billion to service the retail grids of India and other major textile markets in the world. It is a vibrant region with as many as 10 textile clusters involved in manufacturing, that are distinctly different from one another.
- The PALLAVADA TECHNICAL TEXTILES PARK (PTTP) is the first integrated Textile Park in this region ( Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore Dt) with specific focus on 100% Garment EOU. PTTP proposed to enable Rural Women Empowerment with over 80% being women of the total employee strength of 6500. Strong emphasis on ensuring Social and environmental friendly policies.
